Simon Riggs is a Major Contributor to the PostgreSQL Database Project and a Strategic Advisor to Stormatics. He was the Founder & CEO of 2ndQuadrant for 20 years – growing it from just one person to 100+ employees in 20+ countries – before it got acquired by EDB in a major M&A of the PostgreSQL world. Time and again, Simon has demonstrated thought leadership in full service offerings for mission critical database implementations using PostgreSQL and related technologies.
Simon has contributed widely to PostgreSQL across 22 years, initiating new projects, contributing ideas, and committing many important changes. He is also a regular speaker and trainer at PostgreSQL conferences and his books have now been through six editions, covering many different releases of PostgreSQL.
